Self Sovereign Solidarity

The Russian Philosopher, Pyoter Alexeyevitch Kropotkin once said

“it is impossible to conceive a society in which the affairs of any one of its members would not concern many other members, if not all; still less a society in which a continual contact between its members would not have established an interest of everyone towards all others, which would render it impossible to act without thinking of the effects which our actions have on others”

quoted in Comex Society: In the Middle of a Middle World by Bojan Radej and Mojca Golobic

A few days ago Anton Tarasyuk asked that ordinary people, poets and writers remember that we all have and can say something to each other, free of ideologues and he asks that we write to him…..

For me the legacy problems this region faces has too readily adopted a masculine and limiting war persona, made worse by the lack of wisdom men at all levels across society’s demonstrate by believing that they will protect women from harm by starting fights.

Violence against women is and has been at pandemic levels for way too long. Patriarchy and war are bedfellows it’s time its time to change the bed sheets.

Maybe, the wisdom of Black Elk, when facing his near destruction, and on meeting White Buffalo women will serve as a prompt to a radical departure from annihilation as the only way….

Pleas write to Anton and help build workable and livable futures for each of us today and everyday.

My father grasped a plastic bag in his dry, reddened, calloused hands, a mirror of the good earth that he loved to work on. During our frequent train trips to the East Village, a part of Greenwich Village in New York City, my dad’s blank face pointed one way: forward.

“Come on!” he commanded in his broken English when we arrived at the station, finally breaking the silence after the nearly two-hour ride. He grabbed his other half-dozen or so bags and boxes in the train’s overhead compartment and slid some over one arm and the rest over his other arm.

He ricocheted across Grand Central Station. My short, young legs fell farther and farther behind. He streamed outside, squeezing through the crowd on Lexington Avenue and hailed a cab. By the time I caught up, I could see the cab driver’s…

No Renewal

Its a shame really as I rather liked WP, or rather the bloggers I met here.

Yet after 12 months of paying for services and facilities I never received my patience has run out.

The ridiculous thing is that I got a better free basic service. Aggressive, pushy selling is such a turn-off. I now wonder if the promise of a full refund will be honoured….

Tomorrow’s Song

I can hear the music too…

THE COLOUR OF MADNESS

Digital art by Ezzy

It’s been a while since I learned something new.
It’s been a while since I took a chance on you.
Let me breathe, take a minute or two.
Because It’s been awhile since I knew what to do.

The older I get the less I fit in,
Perpetually stuck inside a teenager’s skin.
The world grew up around me while I stayed in, only wrinkles in the mirror show me where I’ve been.

I laugh about the old days when we were all so free.
But cry for all the yesterday’s now lost to me.
I’m living out my days like a recurring dream
Still writing songs about tomorrows, sewer rats and trees.

But how many tomorrow’s will I still get to see?
The world I thought I knew lost to history.
Syc is but a fragment in a distant memory, but in my head we’ve…

60 Second Story – Summer Rain

ever fallen in love?

THE COLOUR OF MADNESS

“Let’s go for a walk!”

“What, now? It’s raining!”

“And?”

“And I don’t have an umbrella.”

“So what? That’s the amazing thing about being a human, we’re waterproof!”

Her eyes danced as she grabbed my hand and spun me playfully around in a twirl towards the door.

“Come on”

“The neighbours will think we’re crazy…”

“Who cares. Maybe we are!”

She flung the door open and pulled me out into the garden with her. I screwed up my face as the rain got heavier.

“I just don’t think…”

“Oh no I’m meeeeelting!” She screeched cutting off my reluctance mid sentence before throwing her hand across her forehead and dramatically falling onto the grass.

I couldn’t help but laugh.

“Shall we then?” She leapt to her feet grinning, linked her arm in mine and marched me off towards the road.

It was absolutely pouring now, big, icy droplets drenching us in…

😱 We have Paleolithic Emotions; Medieval Institutions; and God-like Technology 🏰🛰

we know that the body keeps the Score…. so why eh o we continue to inflict pain?

SoundEagle 🦅ೋღஜஇ

Dedicated to the unforgettable Edward O Wilson whose affinity with Nature and unity of knowledge have stirred biophilia and spurred consilience in SoundEagle🦅ೋღஜஇ

Just as there are evolutionary bases in people’s sense of morality and in their behaviours as well as in their religiosity, so too are there ingrained features behind people’s propensity for being unduly influenced or manipulated by their emotions, as revealed by new understandings in multidisciplinary fields such as sociobiology, evolutionary psychology and behavioural sciences, epigenetics, brain and cognitive sciences, gene-culture coevolution and the like, especially if those emotions are primal in origin, necessary for survival, conducive to surveillance, or associated with dread, anxiety, paranoia, uncertainty and doubt. For instance, fearmongering unequivocally manifests a potent appeal to fear to the extent that those who are capable of exploiting or attacking the psychological vulnerability of human beings can exert…
